We all know how important breakfast is and I do admire people who can get up early and spend some time making beautiful fruit bowls and smoothies… Let’s be real, most of the time we have no time, right? And I have a perfect solution for you!

Forget instant porridge with some dodgy ingredients, there is no need for it. All natural and very simple!

Time: 5min

Serves: 1 person

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of porridge oats
  • 1/3 cup of boiling water
  • 1 tbsp sweetener (honey, golden syrup, date syrup)
  • 2 tbsp almond milk (optional)
  • Handful of berries, seeds (optional)

 

Put ½ cup of oats into the bowl, pour boiling water in (+ plus almond milk), stir it. Put a side plate on top of the bowl and let it sit like this for 3-4 minutes (see picture below). Add more hot water or milk if you wish for the porridge to be a bit more runny. That’s it! Serve it with sweetener, berries and seeds if you wish.

How simple was that? It is healthy, filling and very quick! Oats are full of fiber that helps you feel more energetic and full for a longer period of time, also it lowers cholesterol.
